Philip is our Managing Partner.
Philip joined the Firm in 1994 and became a Partner in 1998. He became Managing Partner in 2004.
Pinney Rogers LLP is a modern and expanding practice. Philip concentrates on the management and development of the Firm and does not undertake client work other than high end dispute resolution work for a handful of our commercial clients and private clients with particular requirements.
Philip has represented clients in the High Court, County Court and Employment Tribunal. A number of his cases have been reported in the press and legal publications. He is a regular contributor to the press and undertakes lectures and seminars on the latest legal issues. He is a past President of West Essex Law Society.

Liam is a Partner of the Firm and head of our Private Client Department. He specialises in Lifetime Planning, Wills, and Estate Administration.
He joined us in April 2006 as an experienced Solicitor, having studied and trained in Liverpool, qualifying in 1991. He became a Partner in November 2007.
Liam is well-travelled, and lived in the Czech Republic and Japan for a time, where he taught English as a foreign language.
He is a member of Solicitors for the Elderly (SFE), an association of solicitors, barristers and legal executives who are concerned with improving the availability and delivery of legal services to older people.

Liam is able to empathise with any physical or mental disabilities, health or social difficulties that arise as people age. He is part of the dedicated Private Client Department, the members of which combine a wealth of experience and expertise in dealing with sensitive issues. Catherine is a specialist family solicitor based at our Brentwood office. She is also available to see clients at our Upminster office and for late evening appointments.
Catherine qualified in 1998 after studying at the University of Hull and Nottingham Trent University. She then completed her training at a Brentwood firm. Catherine worked for firms in Braintree and Chelmsford before returning to the area to join us in 2006.
Catherine deals with all aspects of family law including divorce, separation, cohabitation and financial settlements. She has particular expertise in dealing with complicated divorces and financial settlements or cases where the assets are significant. Catherine works closely with the residential property department to ensure that all related property matters are resolved at the same time.
Catherine has significant experience in resolving the breakdown of relationships between cohabiting couples and also regularly advises clients in relation to cohabitation agreements and prenuptial agreements.
Catherine undertakes all aspects of children work, but particularly where a financial aspect is involved.
Catherine provides clear, practical advice for her clients and many of them find her analytical approach to financial claims particularly helpful in resolving matters quickly and sensibly.
Catherine is a Resolution Accredited Specialist in Children Issues and Financial Relief in Divorce Proceedings. She is also an elected Committee member of Resolution in Essex. Together with Family Department Head Catherine Polli and their colleague Hannah Kelly, their expertise, experience and realistic approach makes them a first rate team.

Hannah is a specialist family solicitor based at our Upminster office. She is also available to see clients at our Brentwood office and is available for out of hours appointments.
Hannah qualified in 2004 after studying at Lancaster University and the College of Law in York. She then completed her training in a Billericay firm before moving to a Kent firm. She has now returned to her roots and joined us in 2006.
Hannah deals with all aspects of family law including divorce, separation, cohabitation and financial settlements and undertakes her own Court advocacy regularly.
She also has significant experience in dealing with children cases including issues involving contact, residence, parental responsibility, financial claims for children and applications for the removal of a child from the country.
Hannah also has a keen interest in civil partnership law and is able to advise both in relation to pre partnership agreements and their dissolution.
Hannah understands the difficulties encountered when a relationship breaks down and is practical and sensible in her approach. Many clients find her pro active approach helpful in resolving matters as quickly and in as conciliatory a manner as possible.
Hannah is a member of Resolution and the Association of Children Lawyers. Hannah is also an accredited member of the Family Law Panel and together with the Family Department Head Catherine Polli and her colleague Catherine Loadman, their combined expertise, experience and realistic approach makes them a first rate team.

Daniel is a Solicitor in the Dispute Resolution Department.
Daniel gained an Honours Degree in Law graduating from Cardiff University before completing his Legal Practice Course at Guildford Law School in 2002. He then trained and qualified as a Solicitor in 2004 with a well known and respected South Coast commercial practice, before moving northwards to the Herts and Essex region, joining Pinney Rogers in 2006.
Daniel is experienced in a range of commercial and civil litigation with particular expertise in commercial landlord and tenant disputes including rent claims, business lease renewals, dilapidations, forfeiture and service charge disputes. Daniel also has a wealth of experience in residential leasehold disputes and enfranchisement litigation.
Daniel also advises businesses and individuals on contractual disputes, shareholder litigation, partnership disputes, professional liability, intellectual property disputes and defamation claims.
Daniel also regularly undertakes Personal Injury work.
In relation to all matters Daniel is able to advise in relation to Mediation and Alternative Dispute Resoluition.

Ellen is a Private Client Solicitor specialising in Wills, Lifetime Planning and Estate Administration.
She studied law at Nottingham Trent University and then spent a year working and travelling abroad before returning to the UK to continue her legal studies. Ellen trained with a firm in Shenfield, Essex and qualified as a solicitor in 2004. She joined us in 2006.
Ellen is part of the dedicated Private Client Department, the members of which combine a wealth of experience and expertise in dealing with sensitive issues. Ellen has great expertise in pre and post death tax avoidance for both Inheritance Tax and Capital Gains Tax.

Emma is a Private Client Solicitor specialising in Wills, Lifetime Planning and Estate Administration.
Emma studied law at The University of Kent and The College of Law in London and joined us in 2004 as a Trainee Solicitor, spending two years gaining experience in a range of practice areas until she qualified in August 2006 and joined our Private Client Team. Since qualification Emma has taken a great interest in work concerning the funding of residential care and the problems of loss of mental capacity in the elderly, the prevention of abuse and protection of assets.
Emma is also a qualified Sign Linguist and a St John Ambulance trained qualified First Aider.
